Isabel and Tyler’s Laguna Hills Civic Center elopement was proof that simple can still be so intentional. After more than a decade together, their story led them here to choosing an intimate day that felt true to them. Isabel even stopped at Trader Joe’s to create her own bouquet! From the courthouse to editorial-inspired portraits at Habana in Irvine Spectrum, each part of their day felt film-inspired and timeless. And with the right guidance, we made sure every moment and location was used to its fullest!

An Intimate Laguna Hill Civic Center Elopement in Orange County
When we arrived for their Laguna Hills Civic Center elopement, Isabel and Tyler checked in at the counter and were quickly led into their ceremony. It was so intimate as it was just them, the officiant, and me taking photos. Laguna Hills is one of the few courthouses that has a simple floral arch, which made their ceremony feel even more special. Isabel wore a sleek, modern dress paired with the bouquet she put together herself from Trader Joe’s that morning. Tyler kept it classic and wore a tailored suit.
Afterward, we stepped outside and took full advantage of the courthouse grounds. Between the greenery, fountains, and clean architecture, there are so many beautiful spots built right in. As a photographer who captures a lot of courthouse elopements here in Orange County, I guided them through each one to make sure we captured a mix of candid and editorial moments. My goal is to always make sure we use the venue nicely and get the best shots!

Celebrating With Drinks at Habana in Irvine Spectrum
After their Laguna Hills Civic Center elopement, we made our way to Habana, just a quick 10 minute drive away. It felt like stepping into a completely different world. Habana is full of rich textures and deep tones, perfect for the moody, film-inspired vibe Isabel and Tyler wanted.
Between the tropical greenery and vintage details, it gave us the perfect mix of editorial moments and direct flash portraits. Everything felt timeless, with just a touch of playfulness. It was also the perfect place to slow down, grab a drink, and soak in the fact that they had just gotten married!
