A Lake Oak Meadows wedding is always beautiful, but Erika and Nick’s day was such a perfect reminder of why this is one of the most stunning winery wedding venues in Temecula. After capturing their engagement photos, it felt so sweet to reconnect with them on their wedding day.

The Details & Getting Ready For a Lake Oak Meadows Wedding

Erika and Nick both started the morning in the onsite getting-ready house at Lake Oak Meadows. It’s one of the many reasons I love photographing weddings here! The home has a bridal suite upstairs and a groom’s suite downstairs. This allows both sides of the wedding party to get ready in the same place, while still having their own space.

The bridal suite had the prettiest natural light for Erika’s details, portraits, and sweet moments with her bridesmaids and mom. Nick got ready downstairs with his groomsmen before we stepped outside for portraits around the property. The whole morning felt calm and full of so much excitement for the rest of the day!

A Golden Hour Lake Oak Meadows Wedding Ceremony

Erika and Nick’s ceremony took place in the separate ceremony space at the venue. It’s such a beautiful setting for a Lake Oak Meadows wedding! One of my favorite parts of this venue is the grand staircase. It can be used as the processional into the ceremony, and Erika walked down the stairs with her dad before making her way toward Nick, with the lake and willow trees surrounding them.

It felt so romantic, especially with the floral cross behind them and their closest people gathered nearby. Being connected in their faith was so important to them. After they exchanged vows and shared their first kiss, Erika and Nick celebrated with glasses of champagne. This was such a sweet way to take in the first few moments of being husband and wife.

Golden Hour Formals & Newlywed Portraits

After the ceremony, we made our way around the property for wedding party photos and portraits of Erika and Nick. They had a huge bridal party, which just shows how loved they are. Lake Oak Meadows is such a beautiful Temecula wedding venue. There are so many gorgeous backdrops throughout the property, from the lake and dock to the trees, pathways, greenery, and open outdoor spaces.

I especially love photographing golden hour here! The light gets so soft and romantic, and it gave Erika and Nick the prettiest glow for their newlywed portraits. It’s one of those venues where you don’t have to go far to find beautiful photo spots. It just makes the day feel easier and gives us so much variety.

A Lake Oak Meadows Wedding Reception in Temecula

Erika and Nick’s reception was held in a separate outdoor space at Lake Oak Meadows. That’s another one of the many things I love about this venue. The day flows so naturally from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception because each part of the day has it’s own space.

Their outdoor reception felt classic and romantic, with white florals, soft candlelight, string lights, and the prettiest golden hour glow. As the sun went down, the whole space felt warm, with everyone gathered under the lights. They even handwrote letters to ever single guest!

Later in the evening, they moved the party indoors for dancing. I love that Lake Oak Meadows offers this option, especially when the night starts to cool down. It gives couples a great backup plan and creates such a fun, cozy space for the dance floor.
