Claire and JoeAl’s summer Hyatt Regency Newport Beach wedding was such a beautiful day from start to finish! They were able to get ready right at the hotel before heading to their outdoor ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Amphitheater, followed by a reception in the Garden.

Having everything in one place made the day feel easy for Claire, JoeAl, and their guests. After dancing all night, everyone could simply head back to their rooms. The venue also gave us gorgeous outdoor spaces and beautiful sunset views. The dance floor never slowed down, making this Newport Beach hotel wedding so much fun to photograph!

Getting Ready & a First Look

Claire and JoeAl spent the morning getting ready with their wedding parties in separate rooms at the hotel. This is one of the best parts of planning a Newport Beach hotel wedding. Everything was right there, so no one had to worry about traveling between locations before the ceremony.

Claire wore a fitted gown with lace detailing, while JoeAl chose a classic black tuxedo. Once they were ready, they met beneath a white, vine-covered pergola on the property for their first look, and JoeAl’s reaction was the absolute sweetest!

A Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Amphitheater Wedding Ceremony & Portraits

Claire and JoeAl exchanged vows outdoors at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Amphitheater, with lush greenery and soft pink, peach, and white florals surrounding them. The tiered grass setting gave every guest a beautiful view as Claire walked down the stone pathway. With the Back Bay beyond the property and so much greenery surrounding the ceremony space, it felt open and scenic while still being intimate.

They exchanged rings, shared their first kiss, and walked back down the aisle with the biggest smiles! After the ceremony, we stayed in the space for a few newlywed portraits with the beautiful floral installations before heading into cocktail hour followed by their reception.

What’s great about the Amphitheater is that it isn’t limited to ceremonies. Claire and JoeAl chose a different space for their reception, but the Amphitheater can also be transformed for a seated dinner or reception-style celebration. This really gives couples so much flexibility when planning their Hyatt Regency Newport Beach wedding.

A Relaxed Cocktail Hour

While we were stepped away for a few portraits, guests enjoyed cocktail hour near the Amphitheater. Claire and JoeAl also added signature cocktails: a Moscow mule for Claire and an old fashioned for JoeAl. It was such a fun, relaxed transition into the reception for their Hyatt Regency Newport Beach wedding!

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Wedding Reception on The Garden Patio

Claire and JoeAl had their Hyatt Regency Newport Beach wedding reception on the Garden Patio, and it was such a beautiful space. I just love the olive trees, greenery, and Parisian string lights. It made for such a warm and intimate atmosphere as the sun went down. Their tables were decorated with white linens and layered peach, pink, orange, cream, and green florals, with even more flowers surrounding their sweetheart table.

After speeches and cake cutting, we snuck away for some romantic sunset portraits. We were able to take a golf cart up and get photos overlooking the Newport Back Bay. It was a gorgeous backdrop that we just had to take advantage of!

Once we made our way back to the reception, JoeAl was constantly hyping Claire up, and you could feel how much fun they were having together. It was the kind of day that made this Newport Beach hotel wedding so much fun to photograph!
