Gem and Nolan’s Nixon Library Yorba Linda wedding will always have my heart, and is a perfect example of why I love this venue so much! From the moment I arrived at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum, the day felt elevated and intentional. This venue offers so much visual variety. It creates an experience that feels classic, polished, and easy from start to finish.

Gem and Nolan exchanged vows earlier in the day at St. Martin de Porres Church. They then celebrated with a reception back at the Nixon Library that was anything but ordinary. With multiple outfit changes, an unforgettable solo rock performance by Nolan, and planning by JenEvents, this wedding felt personal and full of energy. If you’re considering a Nixon Library Yorba Linda wedding, this is one you’ll want to see unfold from start to finish!

The Details, Getting Ready, and First Looks | Nixon Library Yorba Linda Wedding

For their Nixon Library Yorba Linda wedding, Gem and Nolan got ready separately with their wedding parties right on site. This venue offers such a unique experience, with polished interiors and spaces that give the entire day a refined, almost presidential feel. It felt intentional and perfectly suited for their big day.

They chose to share their first look in the First Lady’s Rose Garden, just steps away from the reflection pool. When Nolan turned around and saw Gem, his reaction said everything! It was emotional and genuine. Moments like this are why first looks are so special, and capturing it in such an iconic setting made it even more unforgettable.

After their first looks, we moved into family and wedding party portraits around the Nixon Library grounds. And of course, we couldn’t skip one of the most iconic photo spots at the venue. The presidential helicopter on display made for a fun, memorable backdrop and added such a unique touch to their Nixon Library Yorba Linda wedding portraits!

A Beautiful St. Martin de Porres Church Wedding Ceremony in Yorba Linda

Gem and Nolan exchanged vows at St. Martin de Porres Church, a beautiful ceremony space for a Catholic wedding in Yorba Linda. The bright interior, marble details, and stained glass create a classic setting that photographs beautifully. Located just about 1.5 miles from the Nixon Library, it fit seamlessly into their day. It also made the transition from ceremony to reception simple and stress-free.

Golden Hour Newlywed Portraits in The Gardens

One of the things I love most about a Nixon Library Yorba Linda wedding is how many beautiful locations there are for portraits. After the ceremony, we arrived back at the library at just the right moment. Golden hour light was pouring beautifully across the grounds. Between the white columns, manicured gardens, and open walkways, every turn gave a new backdrop. The grounds are meticulously landscaped, which makes it easy to move naturally from one spot to the next while letting the portraits feel relaxed and timeless.

Cocktail Hour & East Room Reception | Nixon Library Yorba Linda Wedding

After portraits, guests flowed straight into cocktail hour, giving everyone time to mingle before the evening unfolded. Soon after, Gem and Nolan stepped into their wedding reception room reveal at the Nixon Library, and it was a moment worth slowing down for! The White House East Room was stunning, with classic architecture, soft florals, and elegant details that felt so timeless. Before joining their guests, they shared a private dance together, then Nolan pulled out his guitar and played just for Gem.

From there, the reception kicked off and never really slowed down. The night was filled with heartfelt speeches, nonstop energy, and personal touches that made this day theirs. Guests enjoyed boba from Main Squeeze Catering and gelato Maru Creamery. There were not one, but three outfit changes throughout the evening.

After their parent dances, Gem and Nolan changed into traditional Vietnamese attire, honoring their culture before moving into the next part of the night. Later, they did one more outfit change and we snuck away for a few nighttime portraits by the reflection pool. When they headed back inside, Nolan closed out the night with a solo rock performance that brought the celebration full circle!
