Whimsical McCormick Home Ranch Wedding in Camarillo, CA

Madelaine and Colin’s McCormick Home Ranch wedding in Camarillo, CA felt like such a true reflection of who they are. Their relationship is thoughtful, warm, and rooted in a connection that has grown naturally over time. They first met in New York City during a friend’s birthday party. That small moment led to a first date at The Met Cloisters and, eventually, to years of slow Sundays with coffee, crosswords, and the easy routines they love.

I featured McCormick Home Ranch in my ‘7 Stunning Southern California Wedding Venues You’ve Probably Never Heard Of‘ blog, and this wedding shows exactly why. Overall, the garden setting felt peaceful and inviting. Their details and vows were personal and full of meaning. The whole day was relaxed, joyful, and surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. Every moment felt honest and full of heart.

The Details & Prep of Madelaine and Colin’s McCormick Home Ranch Wedding

Madelaine and Colin spent the morning of their McCormick Home Ranch wedding with the people who know them best. It made everything feel relaxed and full of love. Brooke Bloom Co. put together the soft, garden-inspired florals for their details. Beauty By Britney gave Madelaine a fresh, natural look that fit the day so well.

Madelaine wore an ivory Mikado silk gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline. It was nothing like what she first imagined. But as soon as she tried it on, she knew it was the right dress! The way the fabric picked up the light made her glow even more, and guests noticed it immediately.

Colin got ready with his groomsmen and added a meaningful touch to his tux with a boutonniere that featured a tiny cluster of cherry tomatoes. It was such a sweet nod to Madelaine’s Italian heritage and their shared love of cooking. It was such a warm start to their day, and you could feel how excited everyone was for them!

A Whimsical Outdoor McCormick Home Ranch Wedding Ceremony in The Garden

Madelaine and Colin’s McCormick Home Ranch wedding had one of the most romantic ceremony settings. The garden felt peaceful and full of life, with California greenery surrounding the aisle and beautiful floral installations of soft blush and ivory tones to the arbor. It was the kind of space that immediately made everyone slow down and take in the moment.

Watching Colin see Madelaine walk in was one of the sweetest parts of the day. The light was soft and the trees swayed gently behind them. You could feel how meaningful the moment was. Their vows were personal and emotional. The whole ceremony had a warm, genuine energy that felt so true to them.

Romantic Golden Hour Newlywed Portraits

Golden hour at McCormick Home Ranch is something special, and Madelaine and Colin’s portraits were such a beautiful part of their McCormick Home Ranch wedding. The historic home sits on 11 acres surrounded by farmland at the base of the Conejo foothills, which means you get wide-open light, colorful gardens, and endless photo opportunities no matter where you walk!

We wandered through the property as the sun dropped behind the trees, giving them a few quiet minutes together before the reception. The warm light, the gardens, and the peaceful atmosphere made every moment feel relaxed and natural. It’s one of those venues where you truly cannot take a bad photo, and these two made it even sweeter with how connected and happy they were.

McCormick Home Ranch Wedding Reception on The Circular Lawn

Madelaine and Colin’s McCormick Home Ranch wedding reception felt like the kind of backyard celebration you never forget. It was elegant, relaxed, and full of personal touches that made the space feel truly theirs. The circular lawn gave everyone plenty of room to settle in at the long family-style tables, surrounded by jacarandas, palms, and layers of lush greenery. As the sun dropped behind the trees, overhead bistro lights started to glow, adding that soft California warmth the venue is known for.

Madelaine leaned into Edwardian-inspired details and a little modern playfulness. The black-and-white checkered dance floor, the memory table filled with vintage family photos, the fruit-tucked florals, and the Italian bonbonniere favors all tied their vision together in a meaningful, timeless way. Guests enjoyed a pasta bar, heartfelt toasts, and a night that ended with a conga line and the two of them dancing like absolute goofballs, which fit the joy of their day perfectly.

It was the kind of reception space that invites connection. Surrounded by jasmine, twinkle lights, and good people, it was such a beautiful way to celebrate their marriage!
